1964 Fender Mustang

I just buy a red 1964 Fender Mustang. I've been looking for infomations about it on the web, I just find a few. So I decided to create my own site to share information about this piece of history. Welcome.

I have spend some holydays in Mexico at the end of year 2005. I went to Bolivar Street which is the music-shops area of Mexico. After 2 hours looking for a bargain, I found nothing. Then, I went into this last shop, there was a 70's Jaguar, but it was too expansive for me so I decided to try the Mustang and finaly bought it. I payed it 7 000 pesos (about 550 Euros or 660 US Dollars). I had no problem at the airport, I simply took it with me on the plane in a bag.

Back in France (I live in Paris), I plugged it on my amp and since this day I spend 1 or 2 hours a day playing it.

This guy has a lot of informations to give. First of all, I've discovered that dating a Mustang is not so easy. You have to watch the serial numbers on the plate but also to red the numbers on the head of your guitar.
